Created a key asset in Maya for use with the in-game chest. Although UV mapping required several iterations, the final result was successful and sufficient for the required level of texturing. Applied textures and color to make the asset game-ready, then imported and accurately positioned the key within the level. Verified that all textures were functioning correctly and that collision was properly enabled. Implemented player interaction to allow the key to be picked up using a Maximo animation. This key will be used to unlock the chest that grants the player their first weapon. Finally I made it to where my the player can not make any keyboard inputs during the animation of picking up the key.
